News Update : 12 Noon (La Jolla-time) Wednesday, Oct 15, 2025 NO mention of AV1 Encode support with the M5 iPad Pro. That doesn't mean it won't ever include support for HW-based AV1 Encode, just that Apple, at this time, hasn't included it in the Tech Specs. Things "could" change when Apple officially releases support for iOS 26.1. Similar to how the 2016 iPhone "7" family of iPhones included HW-based HEVC Encoder support, but Apple didn't officially support it till a year later, when they released iOS 11 in Sept of 2017. We don't expect something similar to occur this time around, because Apple didn't make a similar announcement at WWDC in June of this year, but ONE never knows. We do see it, however, as one of the rare ways Apple could shock the industry ! Kind of like our Photosets. Off the radar of most, but which should NOT be. -----

(1) Photosets' 10-bit Video Maker
has NO limit WRT the number of video scenes per Video. Actual limit determined by the size of NAND Flash Storage. And whether the iPhone starts to over-heat. If it does, iOS will throttle things down. And may even Force Quit the app. (2) Photosets' 8-bit Video Maker
supports up-to "60" video scenes per Video. -----
